Day of the Dead Table Celebration (Dia de los Muertos mesa)

Noni

Happy Monday, friends! Can you believe its already Halloween this weekend?! We are excited because its not freezing here yet! Speaking of Halloween, Dia de los Muertos is right after that and I am kinda looking forward to it this year. We are doing a special dinner this year because I thought, why not? We don’t have an actual day that we do something like that because on death anniversaries we live too far away to go visit the cemetary where they are and its not like we haven’t lost family members. Plus my girls always bring it up and I think its important for us to remember family members that have passed on. So I came up with a happy table setting for the big day but didnt have alot of $ to spend on it, so I had to get creative. I hope you like it, and that you will tell me what you think….

The breakdown:

I found both tablecloths at the thrift store and always see similar items there so you probably have a great chance of finding one. Also got the candelabra at the thrift store.

I just used my regular plates but got the skull plates and little shot glasses that I used as a toothpick and flower holder, are from World Market  I went to the Dollar Tree and got the tall white candle, fake red flowers, rosaries(just mardi gras necklaces that I spray painted and cut) I got the perfect marigold flowers from my friends yard and the blue glasses were found on ebay a few years ago that I don’t use enough and thought that they would be perfect here. The skull candle can be found here, and on sale
